Recordings

On October 6, 2023 my friends, Greg Long and Phil Roccuzzo, came to visit me in Oklahoma. While they were here they did an interview with me about my theater life and life in general. We did it in one take and I'm very proud to have this on record. Interviewed by Greg Long.

In 1968 I was asked to be one of 8 backup singers for the stars of a Musical Theater benefit in the Philharmonic Hall at Lincoln Center inn NYC.The final performer of the evening was Judy Garland. That turned out to be her final performance in the States. It was then that she went to London and there tragically she died. This is my tribute to her.

Ronald Young sings two of his original songs with a little country flavor, “Oklahoma Man” and “Sleepless Nights”. He is joined by his friend, Jim Garling, on guitar. Anyone interested in recording his songs should contact him on this website.

Sleepless Nights

Oklahoma Man

Crooners

The following 5 songs are from a rehearsal of a show that was a tribute to all male “Crooners.” In high school my dream used to be that I was born in the wrong era - I coulda’ been a crooner! What do you think? Do I have a shot at it?

Country Songs

Around 1980 I spent two years writing the music and lyrics for country western songs. Here are seven of the songs that give a sampling of my work. Just click on the title to hear the song.
